We were told authoritatively by someone who has lived in Lagos for over 60 years that this is the best suya he has ever had.
Is this really the best suya in Lagos? Oni-ijekuje of Lagos says that this is allegedly the best suya in Lagos and it came highly recommended so we decided to try it out.
This place is called Super Suya popularly known as Akerele Suya and as the name implies it say literally on Akerele Street in Surulere Lagos. I mean you can tell that they big on communism because apparently this place has been in business for years.
Now did I enjoy their suya? Well let’s say that I’ve tasted better and I genuinely don’t think this is the best suya in Lagos. Well for starters it was too spicy and when I say spicy I don’t even mean too peppery, I mean like Maggi spicy cuz I feel like the yaji that was used had a lot of other ingredients that were not even pepper or maybe I just went on a bad day, who knows.
The good part is that the meat is quite succulent. We went for their big suya meat and gizard and of course I think the pricing is quite fair as well.
So I’m curious. Is it just me or you guys have had similar experiences.
